Back to the Future
I found myself at the bookstore today. I picked up a heavy book with behind the scenes making of the Back to the Future trio.
Back to the Future lived rent free in my mind for over a decade until the Matrix came to the theaters. These movies played with reality and time in a way that tickled my teenage brain. I really loved the second Back to the Future where you saw what 2015 could look like.
I found a replica the famous picture in the book. The one of Marty would disappear like his siblings if he didn’t change the past and get his parents together. That was such a good visual to create urgency.
In other news, we tried a staycation this weekend. We went to slc with the fam and saw the Utah symphony last night. Today we went to a show at the theater called The Magician’s Elephant. And now, as of writing this I am at my friends Ninja Warrior Gym in Sandy where it is full of kids challenging themselves and having fun. I really wish someone could find a way to bring this experience to Heber Valley.
Tonight Natalie and I go to a reunion of random people who have been on the Small Lake City podcast. I’ve been on 70+ random podcasts over last 10 years but I have never had an event where all the past guests come together to meet.
Speaking on podcasts, I wish there was a quick way to find all the podcasts I’ve recorded over the years to hear the semi intelligent one-liners and all the dumb shit I have said. Here is the one I did that merited this reunion of all the guests. I’m so excited to meet this mixture of humans tonight.
Happy 4:20!

I can’t watch videos easily with the amount of distractions that I pay attention to around me so I downloaded the transcription cool website so I could read and summarize it with ai.
