Charcuterie Cake

Trent and I have been very deliberate in making an investment firm that focuses on the very first year of a company’s life. It is called the pre-seed stage. If any idea is being born here in Utah, we want to know about it.

Today is my partner's birthday, so I wanted to dedicate this email to our friendship and write him a little love letter. Trent is the friend who speaks about you to others better than you will ever speak about yourself. He sees natural talent and gifts that people have and can combine and connect people with special powers.

I think my favorite part about being friends with Trent is that he is always inventing new ways to have a conversation. Anytime there’s a gathering of people, he will insert a game or question that destabilizes the status quo.

My favorite way to say happy birthday is to use Midjourney and create a special cake just for that person and text it to them on their birthday. Because Trent is one of the biggest foodies I know, his cake is going to have a variety of food, like a cornucopia cake. Nah, it’s a charcuterie cake. He will love it.

Happy Labor Day 420.
