Fear, Revisited...
November 24th 2023 is the date I started writing consecutively, day after day. This is the post I wrote that started it all; “Let’s Eradicate Fear”.
My father in law had just passed away and the world seemed very unfair. I felt myself slipping into a depression, especially watching my wife and daughters grieve. They were with him often at the end of his life. He died in memory care for dementia. He was the epitome of a protector and man who taught his 3 girls everything they would need to know to thrive.
…By the way, I think death is the end of life, but not the end of LIFE. It’s probably the beginning of life, we just don’t have evidence about what that next life is like…
Anyway, I started writing that day in November to journal my thoughts. I felt that I needed to take action. I had a thought experiment or call it a prayer or meditation, “could I write words each day that could be valuable for even just one other person?”
I have journaled before, but this was not a journal to be kept private, this was for me and my family, and anyone else that wants to go through the daily experiment of words with me. It was also an activity that if I did each and every day, I would be able to connect with other humans and even strangers that would benefit from some of my words.
It has been 6 months of writing, and I have stayed true to one of my core tenets around fear. I don’t want to have anyone read any of my posts and feel fear. “I want to be a daily dose of non-fear-inducing stories”, were the very words I wrote in that first post.
So make sure you grade my work, judge my journal. If you ever come away with fear after reading…please tell me. I want the feeling to be more of a romantic comedy and not a horror pic. sometime the only thing you should feel is that of looking at a meme you don’t even get. Most of my writing is only funny in my head. I go throughout the day seeing more memes happening in front of my eyes…I don’t even need tiktok, cuz real life is tiktok, I think?
I am not even 1% cyborg, yet….but I think I will soon be 20% machine and eventually way more. But even when I am using AI to do all my daily activities, I plan to always use my fleshy fingers to type these words. When you reply to my emails, my organic eyeball reads those words, I feel your realness. I plan to try to reply to all the people that helped me yesterday with my request to help my friend in need. I will reply to you soon with my fleshy fingers and hopefully always reply even in 10 years when I am 42% machine.
I decided today that the first part of my body to become cyborg will for sure be my dick. Sit there for a minute, imagine the possibilities…I mean, don’t imagine my dick, but a dick that is fully cybernetic. Linkedin wouldn’t let me talk about this stuff, but that is why I gravitated to Substack after getting kicked-off that platform. I have freedom of speech over here. If any of you want to see my schematics for what a prosthetic penis could do, technologically speaking, don’t be afraid to inquire.
Some of you may just want to vote on this instead. Let’s see how people are thinking out there today:
Statue of David with some Cybernetics.
