I Just Prayed

I say a prayer before every email I send out.

I didn’t even realize for the first 120 emails that I was praying.

I sit back and look at the computer or my phone.

Then I rock forward. I nod my head down a bit.

I close my eyes.

I ask, “what words need to be said today?”

Then I listen with my eyes closed…well…sometimes they are open.

I try to have the most influential music I can find be on while I write.

Today, it is our friend Jeremy Soule.  Please listen to his top songs when you are alone or still or in a very pensive mood.  We have commissioned him to help make some of the music you will hear when you open our Phi app this year.

Sorry, we had a commercial break right there, mid prayer….ok we are back.

“God what should I write today?

I listen for God to respond, in real time.

I know some prayers have a way laggy connection, where you might feel like you are leaving a voicemail for God to listen to later…nah, God is real-time like Face-time.

I listen to God tell me exactly what to write.  Well..somedays I listen.  But most of the days I straight up ignore God.  I pretend not to hear him or just was too busy to even care.

Most days, I don’t say the things God told me to say.  Some of you know this when you read my posts.  You know I am ignoring God, and you love when you hear me tell you what God told me to say. I love to hear anytime others tell me what God told them. That goes for all you reading this. If God ever tells you something to say to all your friends and family…please say it! Also please share with me. I love hearing anything from the outside world.

It is all fine if we don’t share or don’t hear anything for God. It’s different for everyone.

and everyone has a different God!!! Isn’t that amazing! God is different as we are people!!!! God is custom to all of you!

And we don’t have to obey a God.

That’s fine…We don’t have to be 100% obedient to any God…That’s the whole point.

At least not all the time. if we were perfectly obedient that would be a world of no color. Just white… boring!!!!

I keep praying. Right now it’s a prayer as I type

I apologize daily when I ignore.

I get back into the humble position where I am at the keyboard…each day!!  I pray each day!  I have committed to God to pray each day at this keyboard.

I am going to do this!

I have my eyes closed and the sounds playing.

Is this meditation?

Sure feels like it.

Is It prayer?

Sure feels like it.

My knees are bent, my body position in a very humble position of almost bowing.

The keyboard below looks so much like my hands are almost coming together, folded in a reverent manner while I type.

…And then I start writing what God is telling me in real time.

And then I share it to everyone everday.

I am God’s one of many storytellers.

And Love guides my words.
