Joy From Others’ Success
A Sermon-ish
Freudenfreude, that is the word for finding joy in the success of other people. This should be much longer post, that I don’t have time today. I made a video instead and should be in the email for listening if you have extra time. It’s more of a sermon from my days as a Mormon Missionary.
I was at the Holy War last night. I was with a U of U die-hard fan and I am an alumni of that University as well. Since I have been preaching that I love everyone and have no enemies, this game was a chance to see if I could put that into practice.
When BYU won, I was filled with joy. It wasn’t my team, but I got excited for them as if I contained all the emotions of people I know who are BYU fans. I channeled them and was there on the field with the team experiencing it for them. It felt incredible, like something you want to always feel. And anytime someone is winning, you can have this feeling for them. I got to wear my Releaf Society hoodie that my favorite plug gifted me. I also got to enjoy my rave coat from ElectroThreads to stay extra warm.
I gotta go, I am hosting a pizza night in our barn with 5 clients from China for my good friend. He runs this company called Red Wolf and they 3D print all sorts of stuff for phones. It’s an honor to host people from all over the world that want to see pure country of Heber Valley.
A Holy Sunday to you on the sunny four twenty.
Scott X
