Porsche Macan
Do you ever get tempted to follow those signs in a hotel lobby about a party and sneak in for some free food and entertainment?
Well, yesterday I finally gave in to a lifelong urging to do just that, and boy did I pick a good one. I was at the Ritz in Irving, TX and Porsche was holding an event for all the owners of dealerships. It was an unveiling of the new electric Macan that I am not supposed to talk about.
The star of the show was an actor who spoke with a German accent who happened to be an Utah boy in some of the “Mollywood” films (Mormon films like Singles Ward).
He said he was the Spirit of Porsche and was 150 years old or something. It was a great show and lesson on how Germans in Stuttgart were making electric vehicles back when Nikola Telsa was doing his stuff.
And then the curtains came down and this beauty can be yours for less than $200k. If we stuck around another day we would have driven it on a track with our friend who quickly discovered we were intruders.
That’s all I got for today folks. Back in Utah now. Please share with me the best event you ever crashed. This party crashing was a tie with the time I was in Vegas at CES and decided to sneak into the XXX convention. I never fully repented of that transgression.
Happy 420 for real y’all.
